On December 20, NAVI’s legendary in-game leader, Kyrylo ANGE1 Karasov, had an AMA session where he discussed everything from personal development to the changes in the competitive scene in Valorant. Some of the highlights included his response to the growing rivalry that is expected to be witnessed in the next VCT season.
The New Era of Competition
The 2025 season is going to be the most competitive season so far. The transfer window of this year was undoubtedly an explosive one, as 11 out of the 12 teams in EMEA of VCT made changes to their rosters. The region witnessed some breathtaking movements such as Derke moving to Team Vitality, Saadhak and Less migrating to EMEA to strengthen the teams, and florescent signing up with Apeks. These changes indicate that teams are ready to go to war in an attempt to better their performances of the previous season.
“This year is definitely the strongest, especially in EMEA. At least seven teams are competing for the first position,” ANGE1 said with assurance.
The Stacked Roster, The Stacked Competition
It was not only that teams did not limit themselves to trading veterans; they have been scouting for the Tier-2 and Tier-3 leagues to find promising talents and have been signing the best international talents as well. At the same time, new teams such as Apeks, who won their league through the domination of Ascension EMEA 2024, have introduced an element of surprise to the season.
