Americas RMR Struggles: CS:GO Teams Battle Connectivity Issues Prior to the Big Event

CS:GO competitors attending the Americas RMR in Monterrey, Mexico, for the BLAST.tv Paris Major are facing an unexpected challenge as they prepare for the event. Power and internet instability at the hotel where the teams are staying have disrupted practice sessions and created frustration among players.

Various journalists and players at the Americas RMR shared their experiences of ongoing power outages and internet connectivity issues at the hotel. Dust2.br reporter Roque Marques was among the first to report the problem on April 5, stating that the situation was interfering with the final stages of preparation for the event.

Several CS:GO teams, such as Team Liquid, have taken to social media to voice their concerns about the issue and share their dwindling optimism. Although the problem is expected to be resolved eventually, it poses a significant obstacle for players who are just a day away from competing in a crucial qualifying tournament for the most prestigious event of the year.

The Americas RMR will feature 16 teams vying for a spot at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, the last Valve-sponsored CS:GO tournament. Five teams will secure their place in the French Major, with top contenders including Team Liquid, FURIA, paiN, and Complexity.

The competition commences today and will continue until April 9, as players hope for a swift resolution to the power and internet issues plaguing their preparations.
