Americas Challengers 2024: Teams, Schedule, and Everything You Need to Know

Introduction to Americas Challengers

Taking place at Riot Games Arena (CBLOL Arena) in São Paulo, Brazil, the Americas Challengers 2024 will gather six of the strongest teams from the Americas’ tier 2 league. This event is a multi-day event that aims at presenting the new generation of players from North and South America. However, it is necessary to mention that this competition will not affect the guest places for the next year in the upcoming Americas League where the regions of North and South America will be united into one team.

Schedule and Tournament Format

The Americas Challengers 2024 will take place from September 14 to September 21, prior to the beginning of the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. The tournament format begins with a round-robin, best-of-one (Bo1) Group Stage followed by four teams moving to the Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage will be played in a double elimination bracket format and all the matches will be best of three (Bo3). It is at the Finals and Lower Bracket Round 2 that the format changes to best-of-five (Bo5) and the excitement is at its highest. Every match will employ the new ‘fearless draft’ option which does not allow teams to select the same champion twice in a series—adding a new level of complexity.

Tournament Schedule:

  • Group Stage: September 14-16
  • Knockouts: September 18-20
  • Finals: September 21

Games will start at 1 pm PT (22:00 CET) on a daily basis.
