As we have seen, after weeks of fierce battles, we have the 16 teams that will be participating in The International 2024. The race has been one of sorrow, disappointment and dramatic twists and turns but the teams are now preparing to move to Copenhagen in September.
European Dominance Continues
As expected, Europe remains the strongest region with 7 teams qualifying for TI3. This region which has been characterized by stiff competition is likely to produce yet another European champion.
Team Spirit, who have previously performed incredibly at TI, are back in the spotlight again. Despite some losses in the previous tournaments, they are eager to create a record and be the first team to win three TIs.

However, they are not the only contenders for this position. China is also back in the Dota 2 scene, with Team Zero playing in TI for the first time ever, as a roster.
Notable Absences
Of course, this year’s TI will have some new faces, which means that some familiar faces will not be there. OG had it tough during their qualifier match against NaVi Junior and Ceb was able to play despite being a new dad. This disruption affected them and they are not going to be in TI this year.
Other teams that are not in the list include Team Secret, LGD Gaming, Shopify Rebellion, and TSM. These unexpected outcomes have been caused by the packed Dota calendar after the elimination of the DPC, with teams playing in one tournament after another as both BLAST and PGL have added new events this year. This has provided a chance for Division 2 organizations and unknown teams to come to the forefront.
