Global tournament organizer ESL FACEIT Group has announced an expansion of its collaboration with Acer, a leading Taiwanese computer and hardware manufacturer. The agreement will involve Acer’s participation in numerous ESL events, including Intel Extreme Masters, ESL Challengers, DreamLeague, and ESL One competitions for CS:GO and Dota 2.
Acer’s high-performance brand, Predator, will supply products for the majority of ESL’s esports tournaments. Predator is Acer’s flagship brand, offering laptops, desktop PCs, monitors, and peripherals. The two companies have collaborated since 2019, but their partnership ended in 2022. ESL then joined forces with Lenovo Legion and ASUS ROG for other events before ultimately reaching a comprehensive agreement with Acer.
Under the new partnership, Acer will support the entire ESL Pro Tour in Dota 2, ESL Challenger, DreamLeague, and the Intel Extreme Masters throughout 2023. Both brands will also introduce activations at events and online broadcasts, highlighting Acer Predator gaming laptops and other hardware.
Vincent Lin, Associate Vice President of Global Product Marketing and Planning at Acer Inc, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing their joint efforts to expand the gaming and esports industries worldwide. He also highlighted Acer’s commitment to supporting gamers within the growing esports community through its latest Predator gaming laptops.
