The VALORANT Esports scene is getting ready for a hot summer with the three international leagues, Masters Tokyo, Challengers Ascension, and the Last Chance Qualifier leading up to Champions Los Angeles.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect:
International League Playoffs: May 19 – 28
Starting in late May, the Pacific League playoffs will be first, followed by the EMEA and Americas playoffs. The top three teams from each league will qualify for Masters Tokyo and Champions Los Angeles. EMEA, which fields four teams at Masters Tokyo, will qualify the teams that finish within the top three.
Masters Tokyo: June 11 – 25
The top three representatives from each league, as well as two teams from China, will compete in Masters Tokyo. EMEA has an additional slot in the tournament thanks to FNATIC’s win at LOCK//IN. The winning team will earn their region a fifth slot at Champions.
Challengers Ascension: June 28 – July 16
Immediately after Masters Tokyo, the Challengers Ascension tournaments will begin, with each of the three tournaments promoting one team each into the international leagues for 2023.
Champions CN Qualifiers: July 3 – 16
The top three teams from China will emerge from the Champions CN Qualifiers to earn their shot at Champions.
Last Chance Qualifier: July 15 – 23
The Last Chance Qualifier is the last opportunity for teams in the international leagues to claim a spot at Champions. Each of the ILs will qualify a fourth team through the LCQs, except for the region that won Masters, which will qualify two teams.
Champions Los Angeles: August 6 – 26
The biggest event of the 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour, Champions Los Angeles, will feature 16 teams that will converge in Los Angeles to fight for the title. More details about Champions will be revealed soon.
